I just recently purchased a 30pc postcard set by Junzo Terada. It contains a lot of lovely illustrations that remind me of the Little Golden books I used to read as a child.

I’ve always enjoyed receiving handwritten mail because it’s just one of those things that feel very precious to own. I’ve only started receiving mail from family & friends in the past year and I can tell you, it’s one of the best things about living away from home.

That said, I’d love to share the experience with you. I will be picking three (3) people at random to send a written Junzo Terada postcard from me to you! if you would like to receive a postcard from me, all you have to do is like and/or reblog this entry. It’s that simple.

If you get chosen, you will need to leave me a little note introducing who you are, what you do, what things you enjoy, etc. or you could tell me something completely random, like what you dreamt of last night or how you fell in love with your boyfriend/girlfriend/crush of the moment. But more on that later!

I will be announcing the winners on friday, June 8, 2012 so you’ve got a week! This is international so don’t fret, letters are fairly easy to get around. Ps.

Just finished my first quarter here in Savannah, GA. It’s been one hell of a quarter—pretty eventful in its own right. Although it’s the same university, I’ve had to readjust to an entirely new way of living. It’s been good, though. I’ve just moved out of the dorms and into my new apartment for the summer. It’s right on downtown and only two blocks away from my photo building. Can’t ask for a better apartment!

I’ve only got three weeks til the start of summer classes so i’ll be traveling a bit before then. I’m hoping to head over to NYC around the second week of June so if anybody is around there, let’s meet for a cup of coffee!

currently i’m studying at the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) in Savannah, Georgia, USA. I used to study at their Hong Kong campus. before studying there, I spent my foundation years at the Ateneo De Manila University (Manila, Philippines). They’re all wonderful universities!

Hello Regine! I've been following your blog/folio for a while, and I'm just so glad that you have come so far. :D Truly admirable talent. You may not know me, but we were classmates in the Ateneo for a class back in first year. :) I am always excited to hear news about your work getting featured, etc. It makes me feel so proud, even though we're not close! Wow, thanks so much! this is really flattering and i’m really glad you enjoy going through my work. I really hope we weren’t classmates in math then because I was awful at it, haha. But thanks for leaving this note! It really made my day :)

a photograph of mine was published on Vogue Italia’s Photo Vogue! This photograph of my good friend ira (who happens to be half italian) was taken in 2010, back when I was shooting portraits and short MVs in Manila. I’ve always liked the photographs from this set but it was only recently that I decided to revisit and upload them.

thanks to art school and such, but i’d like to share a quick update on my life:

silver & ink 2012

Last week was SCAD’s Silver & Ink Festival and I was able to participate in a wonderful portfolio review with photographers Eli Schmidt and Victoria Stevens. PDN was also present (with photographers Matt Eich and Eliot Dudik) for really insightful views on the photography world. +100pts for SCAD for having this festival!
Another photograph of mine got published in Photo Vogue! More on that soon.
I got accepted into study abroad program in Lacoste, France! More on that soon, too.
Printmaking is taking up most of my waking hours. It’s a lovely process—if only I was actually good at it.
I saw Avengers. It was beautiful.

That’s life in a nutshell, I suppose. I actually want to talk more about a number of things on this list but I really need to get back to work. I’ve missed Tumblr a lot though, and I hope I could hear from you all again!

What a surprise! My good friend Lena from Savannah apparently did this drawing of me when were still both in Hong Kong. You can tell that it’s me by the (lack of) color that i’m wearing. Lena’s got such a lovely illustrative style so i’m really flattered she made one of me. Thank you so much Lena! <3
